The source of energy used by this system is the wind, but not the one already used by traditional wind turbines on land (onshore ) and at sea (offshore ). In fact, these structures are unlikely to exceed the 100 meters in height, for both problems impact on the landscape, for both technical and economic difficulties in creating structures resistant to mechanical stress.
In this case the idea is to use the wind at high altitude (between 800 and 1000 meters) without the construction of massive assemblies. The company that designed this type of system is the Kite Gen Research, which will carry a video well done and very effective in conveying the working mechanism of the system.
